Jia Liu, Conjoint Associate Professor at UNSW, shared an update from Wafik S. El-Deiry, Director Emeritus of Cancer Center at Brown University, on X, adding:
“Precision oncology is increasingly not limited by our ability to generate molecular data.
The harder question is: can we connect those data (across institutions, populations and borders) to decisions that actually reach patients and influence outcomes?
Pleased to have contributed to this new paper from the WIN Consortium, outlining a vision for a common global cancer database integrating clinical, genomic and other multiomic data.”
Quoting Wafik S. El-Deiry:
“Pleased to share the latest publication by the WIN Consortium.
WIN is actively exploring pathways to create a global cancer database, rich in clinical and molecular detail, granular enough for precise analysis, and large enough to power artificial intelligence – driven insights, provided appropriate data quality, validation, and governance frameworks are in place.”
