Alique Topalian Presented Poster on Oncology Primary Care for AYA Cancer Survivors at ASCO 2025
Alique Topalian, Research Scientist of Survivorship and Supportive Services at University of Cincinnati Cancer Center, posted on LinkedIn:
“I can’t think of a better way to spend National Cancer Survivors Day then at American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO)!
This morning was our poster presentation “Oncology primary care clinics for comprehensive care of high-risk adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer survivors.
Thanks to the efforts of our AYA Community of Practice this year is the first year that AYAs were included as a submission track. I am so happy to see these important but often left behind patients represented.
Huge shout out to my clinical mentor Melissa Erickson for founding the Oncology Primary Care Clinic at University of Cincinnati! Your work has made this possible. Survivors face a wide range of late/long term effects, comorbidities, and second primary malignancies. Oncology primary care is the future of care delivery for this high risk population. I have learned so much from her!”
