Miriam Mutebi: Breast Changes During Your Menstrual Cycle – Why Do They Feel Different?

“Breast Changes During Your Menstrual Cycle – Why Do They Feel Different?

Ever find yourself wondering why your breasts feel like they’re auditioning for a role in a soap opera right before your period?

Sore, swollen, or just plain heavier? Welcome to the hormonal roller coaster!

Ladies, our bodies are like finely tuned symphonies, and when that monthly visitor is on the way, hormones like estrogen and progesterone step up to conduct.

This can cause your breast tissue to swell, leading to those pesky symptoms we all know too well. This is completely normal and nothing to panic about—just your body’s way of preparing for a potential pregnancy.

Once your period ends, those hormonal levels usually drop, and your breasts should return to their usual state—no drama, just the calm after the storm.

However, if during this time you notice a lump or something that doesn’t feel right after your cycle, call your doc to rule out any concerns.

Knowing your body’s rhythm is key! By being aware of how your breasts change with your menstrual cycle, you’ll be better equipped to spot anything unusual.

The next time your breasts decide to throw a little tantrum, you’ll know what’s happening behind the scenes.

Remember, sis, understanding our bodies is all part of day-to-day self-care. So stay informed and keep rocking your health journey!”
