Kefah Mokbel: How diagnostic trauma may trigger tumour regression through immune response

“For patients reluctant to undergo core biopsy for suspected breast cancer due to fears that the cancer could spread, I explain that local trauma generated by the diagnostic percutaneous biopsy could trigger an immune response causing tumor regression.
This case report highlights this phenomenon.”
