Julie Hallet: New NANETS Guidelines on Mesoappendiceal Invasive Appendiceal NETs
Julie Hallet, Director of Research at Canadian Society of Surgical Oncology, shared a post on X about a recent article by Diamantis I. Tsilimigras et al. published in Annals of Surgical Oncology:
“Mesoappendix invasion not a criteria for right hemi in appendix
- 4800 patients
- meso invasion not associated with LN+ on its own
- size main risk factor
No difference in OS appendectomy vs right hemi
Timely for new NANETS guidelines!”
