Highlights from The ISEH 2024
The International Society for Experimental Hematology (ISEH) is a global organization dedicated to the advancement of research and education in the field of hematology, particularly focusing on the experimental aspects of blood diseases and disorders. Founded in 1972, ISEH brings together scientists, clinicians, and educators who are committed to understanding the biology of blood and hematopoietic (blood-forming) tissues.
ISEH hosts an annual scientific meeting that is one of the most significant events in the field of hematology research. These meetings provide a venue for presenting new research findings, discussing innovative methodologies, and fostering collaborations among scientists from different parts of the world.
The society also supports educational initiatives, including workshops, symposia, and webinars that address the latest trends and challenges in experimental hematology. These initiatives are designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of both established researchers and those new to the field.
International Society for Experimental Hematology (ISEH) 53rd Annual Scientific Meeting was held from Aug 29 – Sep 01, 2024 at Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk, Chicago, Illinois, United States of America.
Here are some Highlights from ISEH 2024:
“Welcome to Chicago! ISEH2024 is kicking off the meeting with our new Satellite Symposium, NI Workshop, and JFC Networking Event! Looking for things to do in the city? Head to choosechicago.com to plan your week.”
“The 53rd Annual International Society for Experimental Hematology’s (ISEH) Scientific Meeting in Chicago is off to a great start!
Our own Holly Baden-Tillson gave a fantastic presentation this morning on how single-cell assays can be leveraged for a more comprehensive understanding of disease progression and therapy response in diseases like multiple myeloma.
If you’re attending, be sure to stop by Mission Bio’s table to say hello! And don’t forget to catch our poster presentations on Friday, August 30:
POSTERS
3103. A novel single-cell measurable residual disease (scMRD) assay for simultaneous DNA mutation and surface immunophenotype profiling
3227. Single-cell Multiomic Clonal Tracking in Myeloma Identifies SMM Clones that Progress to MM and Low-Frequency MM Clones with Resistance Features Enabling More Precise Application of Targeted Therapies
Learn more about how single-cell analysis can transform how you understand the complexities of diseases like multiple myeloma.”
“Excited to be in Chicago for ISEH 2024! Please join me at poster 3189 on Friday to explore novel CH mutations and potential therapies in WTC 9/11-exposed individuals. Let’s discuss how environmental exposures impact cancer risk – see you there!”
“Wonderful to be able to present my clinical and translational work, alongside Dr Marina Konopleva’s pre-clinical /translational work on BH3 mimetics at a special session of the ISEH – International Society for Experimental Hematology 2024 meeting this AM!
Special tanks to Caner Saygin for organizing and hosting us! ”
“Excited to finally present some of our new cellular communication data in MPN at this year’s ISEH2024 meeting! Come check out the Paul. S. Frenette lecture (Session 2) this morning.”
