Hend M. El Tayebi: Establishing mammosphere-resistant TNBC cell models and TAM models
Hend M. El Tayebi, Full Professor and Director of Pharmacoeconomics Diploma Program at The German University in Cairo, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I was honored to be invited as a Guest Speaker at the 17th Breast Gynecological and Immunooncology International Cancer Conference-BGICC – to present part of my research group’s work in breast cancer. My talk, titled “Functional Transcriptomics and Small-MoleculeInhibitor Technologies: Revolutionizing Personalized Therapy for Triple-Negative Breast Cancer?”, highlighted our achievements in establishing mammosphere-resistant triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cell models and tumor-associated macrophage (TAM) models, as well as their role in cancer immune evasion. Additionally, I shared our latest findings on small-molecule inhibitors targeting key immunecheckpoints.
My presentation was part of the “Genomics in Action: Data Sharing, Innovation, and Value Creation” session within the MASRI – Medical Ain Shams Research Institute program.
I extend my sincere gratitude to Prof. Dr. Sara Hassan Agwa for the kind invitation, visionary leadership, and exceptional growth mindset.
A heartfelt thank you to my dear friend and inspiring colleague, Dr. Salma Tammam, CEO and founder of Reme-D.Inc , for her invaluable contributions to research and diagnostics through high-quality, cost-effective products that not only rival imported alternatives but also significantly enhance efficiency. Your business model is truly pioneering and will undoubtedly inspire future generations. This is just the beginning!
Finally, my appreciation to Prof. Dr. Hesham ElGhazaly for creating such an outstanding scientific atmosphere, fostering groundbreaking networking opportunities and collaborations.”
