Fernando Campos: We revealed a harsh Brazilian reality in Sarcoma Study

“In this recently published study, conducted at the Sarcoma Reference Center of A.C.Camargo Cancer Center, we revealed a harsh Brazilian reality also seen in the context of sarcomas: patients treated through the public healthcare system are diagnosed with significantly larger tumors and more frequent metastases compared to those with private insurance.
We must continue generating local data, grounded in solid methodology, to drive real change. These disparities highlight the urgent need for public policies that raise awareness about these rare diseases and promote early diagnosis.
At the Sarcoma Reference Center of A.C.Camargo, we are already developing strategies to address the findings of this study and to keep fulfilling our mission to Brazilian society. This is what drives us.”
