Amy Diehl: Female Surgeons – Preys to Gender Bias
Amy Diehl, Chief Information Officer at Wilson College and President of Amy Diehl Consulting, shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper by Jillian Schneidman et al. published in The American Journal of Surgery:
“Study of female surgeons finds they were passed over for surgical referrals, paid less for equivalent procedures, and given less time in the operating room. They also had to use tools too large for their hands as surgical spaces and tools were built for men.”
