Federico Pio Fabrizio: Decoding the NRF2–NOTCH Crosstalk in Lung Cancer—An Update
Federico Pio Fabrizio, Associate Professor in Molecular Biology, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I’m honored to share the publication of our recent comprehensive review article, focused on the NRF2–NOTCH crosstalk in lung cancer and just published on Antioxidants MDPI journal. This review explores the emerging role of NRF2 and NOTCH interplay in lung tumor progression and resistance to therapy, with a focus on different issues.
Genetic and epigenetic mechanisms driving NRF2 and NOTCH deregulation.
How their interaction affects metabolic reprogramming and tumor microenvironment adaptation.
The dual role of this crosstalk in tumor promotion versus suppression, depending on context.
Potential therapeutic strategies targeting this axis to overcome drug resistance and improve clinical outcomes.
I would like to extend my gratitude to the outstanding co-authors for their collaboration: Angelo Sparaneo, Filippo Torrisi, Floriana D’Angeli, Giovanni Giurdanella, sara bravaccini and Lucia Anna Muscarella.”
