Emanuele Crupi: Nectin-4 Positivity in GU Malignancies
Emanuele Crupi, Fellow in Medical Oncology at San Raffaele University-Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent paper by him and colleagues published in JCO Precision Oncology:
“Nectin-4 Positivity in Genitourinary Malignancies: A Systematic Review”
Authors: Emanuele Crupi, Tiago Costa de Padua, Laura Marandino, Andrea Necchi, Daniele Raggi et al.
“Excited to share our latest paper on Nectin-4 (N4) positivity in GU malignancies!
Our review shows that non-UC cancers have lower N4 positivity compared to UC. In bladder cancer, N4 positivity varies by stage and histologic subtypes.
We also found that previous treatments may affect N4 positivity and contribute to resistance to anti-N4 ADCs. Variations in positivity could reflect differences in IHC antibody sensitivity. Conflicting results in the metastatic setting highlight intratumoral and intertumor heterogeneity (primary vs metastatic).
Thanks to all the authors and mentors for making it possible.
A heartfelt thanks to my science pal Daniele Raggi, for his unwavering support, patience and friendship.”
