Working together we can we truly alleviate suffering and prevent premature death from cancer. The Max Foundation
The Max Foundation shared a post on LinkedIn:
“During our Partner and Physician Dialogue at The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) meeting in Chicago this week, we had the opportunity for a heartfelt and honest conversation.
The discussion was deeply moving as our partners opened up about the immense sacrifices and pain people living with cancer in many countries endure.
Without hesitation, they emphatically called for unity in amplifying patient voices, reminding us that we need to share not only the ‘good’ stories, but also their struggles.
This insight serves as a powerful reminder of our common humanity.
All of us carry the emotional weight alongside patients.
For those of us with a platform, it’s a reminder of our responsibility to give a voice to the forgotten, to help the world understand that in many regions across the globe today, a cancer diagnosis is a humanitarian crisis.
Only by working together towards a common goal, can we truly alleviate suffering and prevent premature death from cancer.”
