Anthony Zamora: How advancements in sequencing technologies and bioinformatics pipelines have advanced our ability to identify cancer neoantigens

Anthony Zamora, Assistant Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin, announced on LinkedIn:

“Happy to announce that our review on utilizing immunogenomic approaches to prioritize targetable neoantigens for personalized cancer immunotherapy was recently published in Frontiers in Immunology!

We discuss how advancements in sequencing technologies and bioinformatics pipelines have advanced our ability to identify cancer neoantigens, and we provide an overview of both antigen-directed and T cell receptor-directed approaches to screen and validate neoantigen-specific T cells.

Lastly, we share how single-cell platforms, such as Bruker Cellular Analysis‘ Lightning and Beacon platforms, can be used to link the phenotypic, functional, and transcriptomic profiles of neoantigen-reactive T cells, which can help expedite the translation of cell-based therapies to the clinic.

Congratulations to Ravi Shah for taking the lead on writing this review, and to Erin C., Tanya Kozlik, and Alfredo Colina for their contributions and insight!

Also, a special thank you to the Paula and Rodger Riney Foundation, MCW Cancer Center, and Bruker Cellular Analysis for supporting our research!”
