Applonia Rose: Cervical Cancer Prevention Week
Applonia Rose, Managing Editor at Sage, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Cervical Cancer Prevention Week
Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer among women globally. It remains largely preventable through vaccination, screening, and early intervention. This week serves as a crucial reminder to work towards a cervical cancer-free future.
As we reflect on advancements in cervical cancer research, let’s fondly honor the legacy of Henrietta Lacks, whose HeLa cells, derived from her cervical cancer, revolutionized medical science. As the first immortal human cell line, HeLa cells have played a vital role in countless discoveries and continue to advance cancer research today.
Here’s a few recent studies published in Technology in Cancer Research and Treatment (TCRT), on cervical cancer treatment:
Authors: Wenting Zhang et al.
Authors: Yue Feng et al.
Authors: Antje Wark et al.
Let’s continue raising awareness and advancing research in the fight against cervical cancer!”
