45% of all cancers are preventable through lifestyle changes – American Cancer Society
American Cancer Society posted the following on LinkedIn:
“American Cancer Society research shows that 45% of all cancers are preventable through lifestyle changes, such as tobacco use, exercise, and nutrition. We also recognize that many people’s outcomes aren’t related to tumor biology, but instead their environment, access to care, and support network.
This means that navigation has to extend across the entire cancer continuum — from prevention through survivorship. We’re making big strides in this area through meaningful partnerships with organizations like AstraZeneca that are dedicated to reducing disparities in cancer care.
