Lung Cancer Policy Network shared a post by I-ELCAP on LinkedIn, adding:
“Huge congratulations to Network member Claudia Henschke and the entire team at the International Early Lung Cancer Action Program (I-ELCAP) for receiving the IASLC 2024 Joseph W. Cullen Prevention/Early Detection Award!
I-ELCAP has played a pivotal role in transforming the way we diagnose and treat lung cancer, setting the standard for how modern lung cancer screening programmes are developed and implemented.
The programme’s groundbreaking low-dose computed tomography scan (LDCT) screening protocol has been instrumental in detecting lung cancer at its earliest stages, leading to major changes in global screening guidelines and significantly improving patient outcomes.
Well done to Claudia and the I-ELCAP team for this well-deserved recognition!”
