Douglas Flora: Olalekan Ajayi is joining the AI in Precision Oncology Editorial Board

As Chief Operating Officer of Highlands Oncology Group, a large multi-specialty oncology practice, Lekan brings deep expertise in practice Artificial Intelligence applications, particularly in Business Intelligence—from staffing optimization to capacity management and other operational applications.

His practical leadership in these areas will help guide decision-makers looking to implement AI within their systems.

Lekan’s influence in the oncology field is vast. As a past president of the Association of Cancer Care Centers (ACCC), overseeing over 42,000 members, he has influenced cancer care nationwide.

In 2023, he was recognized as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society‘s Visionary of the Year, highlighting his innovative approach and contributions.

Lekan will play a key role in reviewing manuscripts focused on operational efficiencies, ensuring necessary research reaches decision-makers facing questions about AI integration in the business of cancer care.

Douglas Flora is the Executive Medical Director of Oncology Services at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, overseeing clinical operations, strategic planning, and the expansion of cancer programs. He is also the co-founder of the Center for Precision Medicine; Genomic Health.

As the Editor-in-Chief of ‘AI in Precision Oncology,’ the first peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to this field, he plays a pivotal role in advancing research. He is also an active board member of the American Cancer Society and ACCC, where he contributes to advocacy, education, and innovation within the cancer community.

Olalekan Ajayi is the Highlands Oncology Group. He was the President of Association of Cancer Care Centers. He also served as the Director Of Lean Transformation at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital. He earned his MBA from the University of Colorado Denver.
