Stressed over medical test results? As an oncologist, here’s my advice.

There’s no shame in viewing your test results alongside your doctor. It’s what I do too.

‘he showed up to my clinic concerned about results from a CT scan that his kidney cancer doctor had ordered, and which my patient had viewed in his medical record before his other doctor had even seen them.’

‘During the time we were treating his leukemia, it looked like his kidney cancer saw its opportunity to return with a vengeance.’

‘If you see an abnormality, are you okay living with that information until you can discuss it with a doctor? There’s no shame in saying no.’”
