“Cancer Nurses Day 15 August 2024 is being celebrated with a special podcast of cancer survivors, including myself, discussing how our Cancer Nurses were crucial before, during and after treatment.
The podcast is hosted by the Cancer Nurses Society of Australia.
We share stories about kindness, clinical skills, effective communication of information in language we could understand, building trust, showing compassion, psychological and practical support and more.
A nurse with special expertise in breast cancer explains emotional insights she gained from being treated for breast cancer herself.
