Hyun Kim: Y-90 in arterially hypoperfused tumors in primary hepatic malignancies
Hyun Kim, Radiation Oncologist at Wash University Radiation Oncology shared a post on X about a recent paper by Bita Kalaghchi et al. titled “Arterial hypoperfusion as a negative predictive marker for primary hepatic malignancies treated with Y-90 glass microsphere transarterial radioembolization” published in Frontiers in Oncology.
Authors: Bita Kalaghchi, Semra Ince, Justin Barnes, Kendall Kiser, Re-I Chin, Justin Mikell, Shahed Badiyan, Jose Garcia, Jacqueline Zoberi, Maria Bernadette Majella Doyle, Benjamin Tan, Seung Kim, Tyler Fraum, Hyun Kim
“GI oncology friends – ever wish in tumor board there were data indicating that Y-90 may not be the best treatment for arterially hypoperfused tumors in primary hepatic malignancies? Makes sense – mean Y-90 energy penetration is 2.5 mm. Take a look!”
