“I leave ESMO feeling incredibly excited about the progress we are seeing in lung cancer, and immensely proud to be part of AstraZeneca.
Our commitment to lung cancer continues to grow, as does our understanding of the biology that drives this complex disease. What particularly stood out to me at this year’s congress was the continued shift towards more biomarker- and biology-driven approaches to treatment, helping us better understand how we can deliver the right treatment approach for the right patient.
We are seeing exciting advances across different forms of lung cancer. Emerging evidence is helping us better understand the biology of disease progression. And in the settings where patients have historically faced limited treatment advances, the progress we are seeing is particularly inspiring.
I continue to be amazed by the science, the people and the dedication across AstraZeneca. Our ambition in lung cancer extends across stages and disease settings, with a shared goal of continuing to advance transformative treatment approaches for patients who urgently need them.
