The American Society of Hematology (ASH) has selected Prof. Ruben Mesa as the recipient of the 2025 Ernest Beutler Lecture & Prize, an award presented annually to individuals whose work has made significant and lasting contributions to hematology. The recognition will be highlighted during the 67th ASH Annual Meeting & Exposition.
Acknowledgment of Contributions to MPN Research
Prof. Mesa has been recognized for his extensive contributions to the field of myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). His clinical and scientific work has focused on improving understanding of disease biology, advancing therapeutic development, and integrating patient-reported outcomes into MPN management.
Influence on Clinical Practice
Over the course of his career, Prof. Mesa has participated in and led multiple clinical studies that have shaped current approaches to the treatment of myelofibrosis, polycythemia vera, and essential thrombocythemia.
