Hesham A. Abdullah Announces a New Oncology Partnership Between GSK and HUTCHMED

Hesham A. Abdullah, Senior Vice President of Global Head Oncology, Research and Development at GSK and Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) Member at Linden Lake Labs, Incorporation, shared on LinkedIn:

“I’m pleased to share news of a significant new oncology agreement between GSK and Hutchmed.

This deal adds a first-in-class antibody-targeted therapy conjugate (ATTC) investigational molecule to our oncology pipeline. Clinical development will initially focus on colorectal, pancreatic and lung cancer.

Despite recent advances, patients with mutation-altered tumors continue to face challenges in treatment.

The asset will enter Phase I trials later this year. Following Phase I, GSK will be responsible for all subsequent clinical development and commercialization activities, excluding mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

This agreement further strengthens our growing oncology portfolio and demonstrates how we’re combining strategic partnerships with innovative science to advance differentiated medicines that can make a meaningful difference for patients with cancer.”
