Recently, AZ has announced a significant investment in a groundbreaking initiative – the first for the Pan-American Cancer Consortium (PACC), led by the Bloomberg New Economy International Cancer Coalition.
This powerful collaboration will significantly expand access to cancer clinical trials for patients in Brazil’s public health system SUS, directly addressing critical care gaps through shared expertise and innovation.
PACC’s inaugural two-year pilot in Brazil, in partnership with Hospital Sírio-Libanês, in Sao Paulo, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), will integrate advanced molecular testing and AI-powered trial matching into five public oncology hospitals. This will dramatically expand access to over 200 cancer clinical trials, enhancing research diversity and strengthening precision oncology for underserved patients.
