The Y-ESSO Research Grants 2026, offered by the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO), support young surgeons in developing research projects in surgical oncology and gaining experience through an international training or research visit.
ESSO is offering two grants of €1,500 each. The grants are intended to contribute toward a specific part of a research project rather than cover the entire project. Applications are open until October 31, 2026. (European Society of Surgical Oncology)
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be ESSO members at the time of application.
- Candidates may be specialists, trainees, or junior doctors.
- Applicants must have a declared intention to specialize in a subspecialty of surgical oncology.
- Applicants must be 40 years old or younger.
- Previous recipients of a Y-ESSO Research Grant or ESSO Educational Grant are not eligible.
- Non-European applicants must undertake their visit at a European center.
- Selected candidates should begin the training period within one year following notification.
