
Terry Fox New Frontiers Program Project Grants
The Terry Fox New Frontiers Program Project Grants (PPG) support Canadian research teams conducting breakthrough and transformative biomedical, clinical, and translational cancer research. These prestigious multi-year grants enable collaborative groups to tackle important cancer research topics using innovative, high-impact strategies and cutting-edge technologies.
Eligibility Criteria

Teams must include at least three independent investigators with distinct research projects.

Projects may also include shared technology platforms (“core” facilities).

Open to new applications (new thematic areas) and renewals (continuing themes with at least 3 returning investigators).

New applicants can apply for 3–5 years of support; renewals may request 5–7 years.

Focus on multidisciplinary, high-risk/high-reward projects.

Proposals must offer training opportunities for emerging cancer researchers.
Funding Details

New applications: Up to $2.4 million total over 3–5 years.

Renewing applications: Up to $7.5 million total over 5–7 years.
