The PSONS Career Development Scholarship for Nurse Managers 2027, offered by the Puget Sound Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society, supports registered nurses beginning their careers in oncology nursing management.
The scholarship provides up to $1,500 toward professional leadership or management education, helping recipients develop skills to improve cancer care. Eligible learning opportunities include virtual or in-person courses and seminars.
Eligibility and Application Criteria
- Applicants must be registered nurses involved in cancer nursing.
- Candidates must hold an oncology nursing management position with no more than two years of management experience.
- Continuous ONS and PSONS membership for at least one year is required.
- Applicants may receive a scholarship from this category only once.
- Applications must identify the proposed leadership or management course.
- A statement of up to 350 words must describe the applicant’s role, development goals, proposed education and community contributions.
- Recipients must agree to recognition in PSONS publications and complete scholarship follow-up requirements.
- Other available funding, including employer support, may affect eligibility.
