The Oncology Nursing Foundation ONS Congress Scholarship supports registered nurses who want to strengthen their oncology knowledge by attending the 2027 ONS Congress® and sharing what they learn with colleagues and their communities.
Recipients may receive up to USD 2,000 toward conference registration, travel, accommodation, and per diem expenses associated with attending the Congress. (Oncology Nursing Foundation)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be registered nurses involved in cancer nursing.
- Applicants must be able to attend the 2027 ONS Congress in its entirety, taking place April 14–18, 2027, in Washington, DC.
- An individual may receive the ONS Congress Scholarship only once.
- International applicants may apply; ONF advises them to begin the visa process as early as possible.
- Several scholarships have additional geographic or chapter-based preferences, including opportunities connected with the Cincinnati Tri-State area, Siouxland region, and Napa Valley ONS Chapter.
- Nursing students should apply through the separate Ceira Boyle Student Nursing ONS Congress Scholarship rather than this general scholarship.
Funding Details:
- Scholarship amount: Up to USD 2,000.
- Funding may be applied toward the ONS Congress registration fee.
- Eligible expenses may include travel costs.
Deadline:
- Applications open: September 15, 2026.
- Application deadline: December 1, 2026.
- Applicant notification: End of February 2027.
- ONS Congress: April 14–18, 2027.

- Selection is based on eligibility as well as the quality, clarity, and completeness of the applicant’s essay responses and plan for sharing knowledge gained at ONS Congress.

- Late applications are not accepted, and applications must be submitted through the Foundation’s official application platform.
