Oncology Nursing Foundation General Topic Research Grant
The Oncology Nursing Foundation RE03 General Topic Research Grant, offered by the Oncology Nursing Foundation, is intended to support emerging to mid-career oncology nurse researchers conducting rigorous scientific oncology nursing research. Projects may include pilot or feasibility studies, investigator-initiated research, supplements to existing projects, or the development of new aspects of ongoing research. Priority is given to proposals that promote theoretically grounded oncology practice and include nurse involvement in both the design and implementation of the research.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Principal Investigator (PI) must be a registered oncology nurse engaged in cancer care, education, or research.
- PI must be doctorally prepared and must not have previously completed a research study funded at $50,000 or more as PI.
- At least one member of the research team must have previously completed a research study funded at $100,000 or more as PI, serving as a mentor.
- Only one PI can be listed on the grant.
Funding Details:
- Amount: 50,000 USD.
- Use of Funds: Supports oncology nursing research including new studies, pilot projects, or enhancements to current research.

- Applications Open: February 15, 2025
- Letters of Intent (LOI) Due: May 16, 2025
- Full Proposals Due: June 28, 2025
- Funding Notification: December 2025
