Australia’s National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) funds large-scale, team-based breast cancer research through its Collaborative Research Accelerator scheme. The CRA brings together multiple diverse research teams at all career stages to address critical questions through a connected suite of research activity aligned with NBCF’s Pink Horizon Research Strategy and its vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Be based at an eligible Australian research institution
- Propose a collaborative, multi-team research program addressing a critical breast cancer question
- Include investigators at multiple career stages
Funding Details:
- Significant, multi-year recurrent funding (amount specified in full application stage)
- Funding commences prior to June 30, 2027
Deadline:
- EOI applications open: March 31, 2026
- EOI applications close: June 2, 2026 at 5:00 PM AEST
- Full application (by invitation): closes September 24, 2026
- Interviews: late October 2026
- Outcome notification: March 1, 2027
