CRI Clinic and Laboratory Integration Program 2027

The Cancer Research Institute (CRI) Clinic and Laboratory Integration Program (CLIP) 2027 supports team-based translational research that connects laboratory discovery with clinical application in cancer immunology and immunotherapy.

The 2027 theme is Primary and Secondary Cancer Prevention and Interception, with a focus on developing immune-based strategies to prevent primary cancer development or recurrence following successful treatment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must hold a faculty appointment at the level of tenure-track assistant professor or higher by the time the award begins.
  • Researchers at U.S. and international institutions may apply.
  • There are no citizenship restrictions.
  • For-profit institutions are not eligible.
  • Projects must involve a team-based approach combining complementary scientific and clinical expertise.
  • Each team should include a Lead Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators.

Funding Details

  • Funding: Up to $1,000,000
  • Duration: 3 years
  • Indirect costs of up to 10% are provided in addition to the award.

Deadline

  • LOI deadline: December 1, 2026
  • Applicants invited to submit full proposals: by the end of January 2027
  • Full proposal deadline: March 1, 2027
  • Earliest award activation: July 1, 2027
  • Applications are due by 11:59 PM ET.
