Conquer Cancer International Innovation Grant 2027

The Conquer Cancer International Innovation Grant supports novel projects with the potential to make a significant impact on cancer control in low- and middle-income countries.

Projects should address the cancer burden within local communities while developing approaches that may be transferable to other resource-limited settings. The program uses a two-stage application process beginning with a Letter of Intent. Applicants whose LOIs meet the eligibility and research criteria will be invited to submit a full proposal.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The applicant organization must be a registered nonprofit organization with a charitable purpose or a government agency.
  • Eligible organizations may include medical societies, professional associations, advocacy organizations, foundations, hospitals, universities, and government bodies.
  • The applicant organization must be located in a country classified by the World Bank as low-income, lower-middle-income, or upper-middle-income.
  • The organization must have operated for at least one full year.
  • The organization must have acceptable management structures and administrative processes in place.
  • The organization must be financially solvent, with or without support from the grant.
  • Applicants should demonstrate experience conducting activities that produce tangible outcomes.
  • The Principal Investigator must be a citizen or permanent resident of an eligible low- or middle-income country and must currently reside in that country.
  • The Principal Investigator must be affiliated with the applicant organization.
  • The Principal Investigator must be a current ASCO member or submit an ASCO membership application with the grant application.

Funding Details:

  • The program provides a one-year grant of up to USD 20,000.
  • Funding is paid in two instalments.
  • Grant funds are administered through the eligible nonprofit organization or government agency.

Deadline:

  • Applications opened: July 1, 2026.
  • Letter of Intent deadline: August 28, 2026.
  • The application portal currently lists its operational closing time as August 27, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EDT. Applicants should submit by the portal’s displayed cutoff.
  • Invited full proposal deadline: December 11, 2026.
  • Award term: April 1, 2027–April 1, 2028. (ASCO)
