The PPI Seed Grant, also offered by Prostate Cancer Research (PCR), provides up to £300 to support activities that meaningfully embed patient and public perspectives into prostate cancer research. This small but impactful grant ensures that the voices of those with lived experience of prostate cancer directly shape research priorities, design, and dissemination. It is particularly suited for researchers planning patient advisory panels, co-design workshops, or consultations that inform grant applications or ongoing studies.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be researchers working in prostate cancer, based at a UK academic or research institution or hospital
- Early-career researchers and PhD students are strongly encouraged to apply
- Previously successful applicants must wait one year before reapplying
- Previously unsuccessful applicants should not resubmit the same application unless invited
Funding Details:
- Up to £300 per award
- Eligible costs: costs for patients attending research meetings, posters/materials for patient engagement events, patient consultant honoraria, catering/venue hire for PPI workshops
- Quarterly review cycle; submit at any time
