The ChadTough Defeat DIPG Fellowship Grant supports outstanding pre-doctoral and post-doctoral fellows conducting mentored research on DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma) and DMG (Diffuse Midline Glioma), two of the most lethal pediatric brain tumors. The program aims to develop the next generation of leaders in DIPG research through multi-year salary/stipend support under established mentorship.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Post-doctoral: Hold an MD and/or PhD by the deadline; be ≤6 years since last degree; employed at an academic/nonprofit institution
- Pre-doctoral: Be enrolled in a research doctoral program at an accredited institution
- Devote ≥75% effort to DIPG/DMG research; have an identified mentor
- Have no more than one prior fellowship; no geographic or citizenship restrictions
- Propose a project specifically focused on DIPG or DMG
Funding Details:
- Post-doctoral: Up to $300,000 over 3 years (max $100,000/year) for salary and fringe
- Pre-doctoral: Up to $200,000 over 3 years (max $67,000/year) for stipend, tuition, and fees
- Indirect costs: Not allowed
Deadline:
- LOI due: June 8, 2026
- Invitation for full submission: July 22, 2026
- Full application due: September 2, 2026
- Award notification: November 2026; start: January 1, 2027
