The ACS–Fanconi Cancer Foundation Discovery Boost Grant supports high-risk, high-reward translational cancer research addressing the unique challenges of Fanconi anemia (FA)-associated cancers.
The program is designed to support innovative research with potential clinical impact, particularly projects focused on improving the detection, prevention, and treatment of cancers in people with Fanconi anemia. Applications may come from researchers already working in the FA field or investigators from related areas of cancer biology who are developing FA-relevant research programs.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must work at a U.S. academic institution or eligible nonprofit.
- Applicants must be independent investigators.
- Applicants may be at any career stage.
- Applicants must hold a full-time faculty appointment or equivalent independent position.
- Researchers with established expertise in Fanconi anemia are eligible.
- New-to-FA investigators should demonstrate strong relevance and potential impact of their proposed research.

- Up to $270,000 in direct costs
- 10% allowable indirect costs
