The Extramural Discovery Science Accelerator Award supports the commercialization of ongoing cancer research projects by funding critical experiments that help validate and de-risk technologies. Proposals must focus on a defined, commercially driven aim such as dosing, toxicity, or efficacy testing, and applicants must plan to license the technology to a start-up or established company if successful. This mechanism is not intended to launch new research directions.
