
American Cancer Society Discovery Boost Grants
The Discovery Boost Grants (DBG) program supports high-risk, high-reward exploratory cancer research across the full research continuum. These grants aim to spark new ideas, assess feasibility, and develop methodologies that can evolve into larger-scale research programs. The DBG is intended to provide investigators with resources to gather preliminary data that will enhance their competitiveness for additional funding and drive innovative directions in cancer science.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be employed at a US academic institution or eligible non-profit organization
- Must hold an independent faculty appointment
- Open to researchers across all areas of the cancer research continuum
- Must demonstrate potential for novel insights or breakthrough research directions
Funding Details
- Amount: Up to 135,000 USD per year, plus 10% indirect costs
- Duration: Up to 2 years
- Total Maximum Budget: 297,000 USD
