The Rally Foundation Collaborative Pediatric Cancer Research Awards Program 2027 supports innovative research aimed at developing better treatments and improving outcomes for children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer.

The program includes funding for postdoctoral and clinical research fellows, young and independent investigators, multi-institutional consortia, and high-risk Outside the Box projects. Awards range from $50,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on the grant mechanism, and applicants may be based in the United States or internationally.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants may include postdoctoral fellows, clinical research fellows, investigators from Instructor through Professor rank, and research scientists.
  • Applicants should generally hold an MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent degree.
  • Applicants do not have to be U.S. citizens.
  • Investigators do not have to be based at a U.S. institution.
  • Research must directly address cancer in children, adolescents, or young adults up to age 24.
  • Young Investigators are defined as PIs no more than five years post-fellowship.
  • Independent Investigators are more than five years post-fellowship.

Funding Details

  • Postdoctoral and Clinical Research Fellow Grant: Up to $50,000 per year for 1–2 years.
  • Independent Investigator Grant: Up to $50,000 per year for 1–2 years.
  • A portion of available funding is reserved for Young Investigators based on peer-review scores.
  • Consortium Grant: Up to $100,000 per year for 1–2 years.
  • Outside the Box Grant: $50,000 for 1 year.

  • LOI opened: August 3, 2026.
  • LOI deadline: September 14, 2026 at 3:30 PM EDT.
  • Full applications open: November 9, 2026 — invitation only.
  • Full application deadline: January 8, 2027 at 3:30 PM EST.
  • Earliest award notification: April 1, 2027.
