The College of American Pathologists (CAP) Foundation Career Development Award in HER2 supports early-career pathologists conducting quantitative pathology research to optimize and validate HER2 immunohistochemistry (IHC) across solid tumors beyond breast and gastric cancers. The research aims to generate evidence supporting consistent HER2 testing and patient selection for anti-HER2 antibody-drug conjugates. CAP Foundation
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be early-career pathologists with 1–5 years in practice.
- Applicants must have at least 3 years of experience signing out relevant tumor specimens.
- Applicants should be actively involved in IHC workflows or have HER2 IHC expertise.
- Applicants should have expertise in correlating IHC with molecular testing and clinical findings.
- Academic faculty applicants should be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
- A letter of support from the Pathology Department Chair is required.
