St. Baldrick’s Scholar Career Development Award 2027

The St. Baldrick’s Scholar Career Development Award 2027 supports early-career investigators building independent research programs in pediatric oncology. Scholars may receive up to $110,000 per year for three years, with the possibility of an additional two years of funding based on research progress.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Designed to support early-career pediatric cancer researchers developing independent research programs.
  • Applicants must hold a PhD, MD, or DO by the award start date.
  • Applicants must work at an academic or nonprofit research institution or laboratory in the United States.
  • U.S. citizenship is not required.
  • Applicants must hold, or by the award start date obtain, a full-time faculty position.
  • Applicants may have held the qualifying faculty position for no longer than seven years when the award begins.
  • Applicants from NCI/NIH are not eligible.

Funding Details

  • Up to $110,000 per year
  • Initial term: 3 years
  • Maximum initial funding: up to $330,000
  • Years 4–5, if approved: up to $115,000 per year.
