This is AACR’s flagship young-investigator funding mechanism for highly innovative, potentially paradigm-shifting breast cancer research. The proposed project may be basic, translational, clinical, or population-based, but must show direct applicability to breast cancer. The competition is currently open, with the full application due April 7, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements specified in the program guidelines after having submitted a competitive Letter of Intent earlier in the cycle.
  • The program is designed to support young investigators pursuing transformative breast cancer research.
  • Proposed work must be directly relevant to breast cancer.

  • Amount: $450,000 USD.
  • Grant term: 3 years.
  • Start of grant term: July 1, 2026.
