Eligibility Criteria
- Supports cancer research conducted at nonprofit institutions in the United States.
- Research should be directed toward identifying new approaches to the detection, treatment, or cure of cancer.
- Priority is given to researchers who are new to cancer research and established investigators exploring new approaches.
- Early-career faculty, new faculty, and postdoctoral investigators are particularly encouraged.
- The Foundation does not give preference to a specific cancer type.
- More than one application may be submitted by the same university or research facility in a cycle.
Funding Details
- No fixed maximum award amount
- Requested funding must be reasonable and justified by the scope of the project.
- Duration: 1 year
- Indirect costs must not exceed 5%.
- Essential equipment may not exceed $5,000.
Deadline
- The Foundation operates three application cycles each year:
April 30
August 31
December 1 - For the upcoming cycle, the relevant deadline is December 1, 2026. Applications submitted in the December cycle undergo final review in May, with funded projects potentially beginning as early as June 1.
