ACS IMPACT – Expanding Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials in the Community
The ACS IMPACT grant supports local oncology practices and hospitals in expanding clinical trial enrollment among Black men with prostate cancer. This initiative addresses the most significant mortality disparity in oncology and aims to enhance racial diversity in prostate cancer trials through targeted infrastructure support and partnerships with the Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials Consortium (PCCTC) and Trial Library.
Eligibility
- Must have direct patient interaction and the ability to participate in clinical trials
- Sites affiliated with an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center must clearly justify how they will engage community practices and improve diversity
- Institutions must be able to implement clinical infrastructure and community engagement efforts
Grant Term and Budget
- Up to 200,000 USD/year in direct costs
- Up to 2 years of funding with a potential 1-year extension based on demonstrated progress
- Funds may support clinical staff, recruitment activities, and infrastructure to engage prostate cancer patients
