This AACR-Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance grant supports innovative research focused on invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC), the second most common histological subtype of breast cancer. The program is intended to stimulate creative, paradigm-shifting ideas that could lead to new treatment options for lobular breast cancer. Applications may address any aspect of basic or clinical research directly relevant to ILC. Priority consideration will be given to proposals involving rare ILC subtypes, dormancy, and recurrence.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Hold a doctoral degree (PhD, MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent)
- Be an independent investigator affiliated with an academic, medical, or non-profit research institution
- Have a confirmed eligible position by the application deadline if based on a future appointment
- Work at an academic, medical, or research institution anywhere in the world
- Meet AACR Active membership requirements by the application deadline
There are no citizenship or geographic requirements.
