
AACR Grant for Innovative Bladder Cancer Research
The AACR Grant for Innovative Bladder Cancer Research is a one-year grant designed to support independent investigators pursuing novel approaches in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of bladder cancer. This grant encourages applications from both established bladder cancer researchers and scientists from other biomedical fields who are applying innovative strategies to bladder cancer research for the first time.
The award funds projects involving translational and clinical research that incorporate advanced models, cutting-edge technologies, and new therapeutic or diagnostic approaches. Priority consideration will be given to applicants using non-mouse animal models or those with DVM qualifications.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must hold a doctoral degree (PhD, MD, MD/PhD, DVM, DVM/PhD, or equivalent)
- Must not currently be pursuing another doctoral degree
- Must be an independent investigator at an academic, medical, or non-profit research institution (worldwide)
- If holding a future position, it must be confirmed at the time of application (not contingent on receiving the grant)
- Must be an AACR Active Member (or apply by the deadline)
- No citizenship or geographic restrictions, provided visa status supports project completion
Funding Details
- Amount: 50,000 USD
- Duration: 1 year
- Use of Funds: May be used for salary, benefits, tuition, supplies, equipment, and publication charges directly related to the project
- Indirect Costs: Not allowed
