AACR-Exelixis Renal Cell Carcinoma Research Fellowship

The AACR-Exelixis Renal Cell Carcinoma Research Fellowship is a two-year grant program created to support postdoctoral or clinical research fellows conducting innovative research focused on renal cell carcinoma. The fellowship encourages research across basic, translational, clinical, or population sciences that has direct relevance and potential impact in the field. It is intended to foster the development of promising early-career researchers as they work under the mentorship of experienced scientists.

Eligibility Criteria:

Must hold a doctoral degree (PhD, MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent) in a related field.
Must not be currently pursuing another doctoral degree.
By July 1, 2025, applicants must:
- Hold a mentored research position (postdoctoral fellow, clinical research fellow, or equivalent).
- Have completed their most recent doctoral degree within the past five years (not before July 1, 2020).
- Work under a mentor at an academic, medical, or research institution.
No citizenship or geographic restrictions (visa status must allow project completion if applying from another country)
Must be an AACR member in good standing (or apply by the application deadline)

Funding Details:

Amount: 130,000 USD
Duration: 2 years
Use of Funds: Supports fellow’s salary, benefits, and limited research-related expenses (supplies, equipment, publications, etc.)

Deadline:

Application Due: April 23, 2025 at 1:00 PM U.S. Eastern Time
Start of Grant Term: July 1, 2025
Decision Date: June 2025
