The UCSF Prostate Cancer SPORE Developmental Research Program (DRP), also funded by the National Cancer Institute, targets faculty at any career level who have a high translational-potential prostate cancer research idea. Unlike the CEP (entry #4), which focuses on career development, the DRP emphasizes the science and innovation of the proposed project, with the explicit goal of upgrading successful proposals to full SPORE project status. It supports bench-to-bedside and bedside-to-bench translational strategies.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Any UCSF faculty member proposing prostate cancer research with high translational potential
- No career-stage restriction — open to early-career and established investigators alike
- Applicants may apply to either the DRP or the CEP (entry #4), not both
