The UCSF Prostate Cancer SPORE Career Enhancement Program (CEP), funded by the National Cancer Institute, is designed to nurture the next generation of prostate cancer translational researchers. It provides protected time and resources for faculty who are either early in their careers or established investigators pivoting into prostate cancer translational research. The goal is to develop independent investigators who can eventually lead full SPORE projects.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Any UCSF faculty member developing (early career) or refocusing (established) their career on translational research in prostate cancer
- Applicants may apply to either the CEP or the DRP (entry #5), not both
Funding Details:
- $62,500/year in direct costs
- Duration: 1 year, renewable once (total potential: $125,000 over 2 years)
- Number of awards: 2 per year
- Funded by NCI institutional SPORE funds
