The AACR Team Science Award recognizes the growing importance of interdisciplinary teams in advancing cancer research and translating discoveries into clinical applications. It honors teams whose collaborative work has advanced fundamental knowledge or improved detection, diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of cancer.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Teams worldwide may be nominated (members in academia, industry, or government).
- Eligible teams are typically independent, faculty‑level researchers with complementary expertise and substantive, quantifiable contributions.
- Teams may span one or multiple institutions; if at the same institution, members must have separate funding and research space.
- Institutions/organizations are not eligible to receive the award (the team is the awardee).
Funding Details:
- Recognition award supported by a corporate sponsor per AACR listing.
- Nomination must include:
- Nomination letter (max 1,000 words).
- Brief scientific citation (max 50 words).
- Full list of team members with titles/affiliations/research areas + each member’s quantified contribution.
- Self‑nominations prohibited; submit via AACR’s electronic nomination platform.
Deadline:
- June 30, 2026 (AACR nominations open January 1, 2026).
