CRI Immuno-Informatics Postdoctoral Fellowship

CRI Immuno-Informatics Postdoctoral Fellowship

Due Date: 03/02/2026

The CRI Immuno-Informatics Fellowship is a specialized track within CRI’s fellowship programs, dedicated to researchers training at the intersection of immunology and data science. This fellowship supports postdocs who apply computational approaches (like AI, machine learning, bioinformatics) to key questions in cancer immunotherapy – for example, analyzing neoantigen prediction, single-cell immune profiling, or big data from immunotherapy trials. By cultivating dual expertise, the program aims to advance breakthroughs that require both wet-lab and computational skills in immunology. Fellows join a cohort of “immuno-informaticians” with additional networking opportunities in this emerging field.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Postdoctoral fellows (PhD, MD, or equivalent) with a demonstrated background or strong interest in both computational biology and immunology. Typically within 5 years of degree.
  • Must be undertaking a project that involves significant computational analysis of immunological data (e.g., genomic, proteomic, imaging, or clinical data related to cancer immunotherapy) and experimental validation or collaboration.
  • The fellowship is open internationally. Applicants should have two mentors if possible – one in immunology and one in data science – or a single mentor proficient in both.

Funding Details:

  • Award: Identical to CRI’s standard fellowship – $243,000 over 3 years.
  • Fellows receive the same stipend support and research allowance structure as the Irvington Fellowship. Additionally, CRI may facilitate access to computational resources or industry partnerships if relevant.
  • No indirect costs. Fellows are expected to present findings at CRI meetings and potentially at computational biology conferences.

Deadline:

  • Application Deadline: March 2, 2026 (for Summer/Fall 2026 start).
  • (A second deadline on September 1, 2026 will cover the next cycle). Award announcements follow the same timeline as other CRI fellowships (~May for spring deadline).
